Date: 15th – 17th July 2019.
Charges: Ksh 70,000
Duration: 3 Days
This 3-Day course aims at engaging participants on the use of Geographic Information System (GIS) and
Remote Sensing for visualization and analysis of LULC changes. Land Use/Land Cover mapping plays a crucial role in managing and monitoring environmental changes. The growing population and increasing socio-economic necessities creates a pressure on land use/land cover, resulting in uncontrolled changes. Therefore making data on LULC a critical input to decision-making. Over the past years, data from Earth sensing satellites have become indispensable in providing timely and accurate information on the spatial distribution of resources.
